Seperation Anxiety

H has started this lately...any tips for getting her over it? It is heart breaking when I drop her off at the sitter/daycare place so I can go to appts and she has to be pried off of me (and I say this litterally) It even got bad when she wanted to be held and I tried to put her in a stroller yesterday at the mall. I want to "nip it is int e bud" so to speak...I can't hold her and be around her as much as she wants and I want her to know that now...not when Dh and I want to have date night and we need to get a sitter...kwim?

I don't really have any advice. I've heard alot of people says it's a stage though. Hopefully it's a quick one.

Yeah all kids go through that...just give her to the sitter and turn around and leave. I know it sounds mean, but she will get used to it eventually!

she only goes once a week so I hope that doesn't make it longer...

I was going to suggest the same thing. They will cry, but they do stop when you leave. So don't give in, make a quick break and the crying will stop sooner that way than if you drag it out.

actually she has been fussing and whining while I am gone too. Of course she is teething so that doesn't help. Poor little thing

thanks for the reassurances. I was feeling guilty *blush*
