How do you celebrate the 4th?

I have never missed a year of the local (wherever local is at the time) fireworks. I'm not sure the kids even enjoy it that much but it's what we always did as kids so I've carried it over and can't imagine not watching.
Last year we had a cookout and did some of our own fireworks while waiting for the big show to start.

I hope something comes up for me and the kids to do this year.

Well, we are actually going to a 4th of July party on July 1. If it isn't too hot on the 4th I'm going to see if Steve wants to go to the Warren County Fair for a couple of hours. Maybe we can go in the morning before it gets too hot. I'm hoping there will be folks (and I'm sure there will be) around where we live shooting off fireworks so we can watch those.

We always start out the morning at the local parade, then head home for a relaxing day followed by a cookout. At night, we usually head over for fireworks, although occasionally, we just sit home and try to watch them from here

Usually by WORKING.

Hopefully this year we will be taking in a parade, having a cookout and possibly some fireworks, if the kids can tolerate it.

We always go to a friends for a cookout and then go to the 4th of July parade in the town I grew up in (my dad has one of his john deere tractors in the parade every year) and then we go to the fireworks.

We are going to the MIL's for a cookout and some kiddie pool fun. They set off their own fireworks and I told Kev I am not comfortable with that and don't want to stay that long and asked him if we could just go watch somewhere this year.

We always used to go camping. The first 2 years Ed continued that tradition with the kids. Last year my mom and step-dad went to CT from FL so we went there. This year it falls mid week and Ed has them from 5-7:30 so I am not sure what I will do with them before they go but I want to take them to the lake for fire works if he doesnt ask to keep them late.

Steve and I will be in a parade with other members from our church on Wednesday morning. That should be lots of fun!!! Since it is suppose to get to the mid-90's I believe we are just going to chill out that afternoon at home in the a/c.
