What do your kids like to wear?

We frequently talk about how we like to dress our kids but how would they chose to dress every day?


Zachary is my strange kid... he would wear slacks and a long sleeve button up every day if I would let him. It could be 90 degrees outside and he will lay on the floor crying that he is cold to get me to let him wear his long sleeves.

Haley is quite the girly girl. She's very into dresses, skirts, and high heeled sandals. Most days she chooses a mini-skort & some cute top to match. I think she may have some sort of sensory issues because she refuses to wear any type of denim stating that it "feels bad". It doesn't stop me from attempting to find jeans that she considers to fit right though.

Brenna doesn't have a choice but she'll probably rebel from my girly choices for her and decide she doesn't want to wear anything but sweats and football jersies. Knowing she is my last little girl to dress up, I really went over board on the cute outfits with matching accessories. She doesn't even have a lot that I would consider play clothes.

Joey has the fashion sense of a fence post.

I have had to explain:

-- You can't wear long socks with shorts.
-- You can't wear a long sleeve shirt with shorts.
-- You can't wear a long sleeve shirt when it's over 80 degrees out
-- You can't wear a tank top and shorts in the snow.
-- You can't wear green and orange together, unless you're dressing as a pumpkin.

I'm not so big on fashion myself, but at least I can color coordinate a little. Most days during the school year, I set clothes out for him, so I'm reasonably certain he's going to dress OK. Weekend's he's on his own.

I really don't think either of my kids really will care too much......

Ryan DEFINITELY won't! Lauren might when she's older, but right now she doesn't care. But on the days she wears a dress or skirt she likes the "twirly" of the dress.

Maci has gotten to where she hates denim. HATES it. She loves dresses and skirts.
Hailey does not really wear dresses or skirts anymore but she likes everything pink and girly.
Cori is just more into trendy things.

kate is my princess tombay. She Loves dresses and skirts and pretty much refuses to wear anything else (also has to have a nightgown for bed)

Alyssa doesn't really care. She just puts on whatever, She's never had a strong opinion.

P - I dress in whatever's clean. Alot of times its either a onesie or a dress.

Elaine, Aaron is like Zachary. We live in FL but I swear I had to put his jeans and long sleeved shirts where he can't reach them because the child would pick them everyday, even in summer. He does pretty well matching colors but not always. If he doesn't match, I just tell everyone he dressed himself. I think they understand.

my nephew was like your boys, he stayed here one july and i was sweating just watching him outside in sweats and long sleeves skateboarding in the heat

Logan likes everything as long as i tell him it is 'hockey' lol we are getting better where soccer and baseball are ok too but he has his definate ideas on what theme he wants to wear
