What advice do you wish someone had given you BEFORE you were pregnant about being pregnant/giving birth?

Hmmm... I was so young during my first pregnancy that I didn't question anything or give anything a second thought... just took it all as it came and had little to no problems.

I wish that someone had told me that sometimes the home remedies don't work and medication really is okay if it makes you feel better. I was so worried about taking something that I could have felt a little better sooner.

I wish someone had told me how uncomfortable the last month or so is, especially in the summer. I also wish I'd been told that natural birth isn't really all that horrible and that it truly is a beautiful experience. I was so scared and worried about the pain but it wasn't anything that I couldn't handle.

I wish I had been told that being pregnant is NOT a reason to sit on your butt and eat whatever you like. And that gaining half your body weight is not a good idea bc you will never lose it again.
