Technically I'm an ELCA Lutheran.

I haven't practiced in a long time. I lean more Catholic now then I used to but I don't have an official religion. If you saw my religion quiz you'll know why

I believe in a higher power that I am perfectly happy to call God but I do not belong to a 'religion' as I do not like what people have done in the name of "Their one true God".

Re: What religion are you?

Now that I think on it, I'm not really agnostic, as I believe in a higher power and I do pray and have a relationship with said higher power. I lean more towards paganism.

Karen,

I was just curious as to what you tell your kids about things they might ask about God or anything related.

Karen,

I am raising my children to believe in whatever they like. If they want to go to church I will take them. I just want them to make an educated decision as they get older. I will never restrict my children from learning. I wasn't raised atheist, only as an adult have I made my decision.

My son talks about god and even was digging for the devil in the backyard last week. I don't say one thing or another about it, I allow him to be his own person and would never impose my beliefs on them. My worst fear would be having someone put the fear of god or the devil into them and then having to explain my belief otherwise. Does that makes sense?

Vast amounts of knowledge about all religions would be choice for them....

Oh, okay. It will be interesting to see what religion they choose, if any.

That's funny! Wonder what he would do with him if he found him.

Re: What religion are you?

Thats what I'm going to do for my children. If they show interest in a religion I will make as much information available to them as possible so that they can make their own decision about what they want to believe.
