OMG I was SOOO mad at Ron when he did that.

I cried when Hedwig died I couldn't believe poor Teddy, but I guess it makes sense then Harry gets to be the Godfather that he didn't have.

I thought it was AWESOME that Neville was so brave, I knew he had it in him.

I so just totally loved this book, but it broke my heart for all the good ones who had to die!

Favorite part .. when Harry went back for Draco .. showed his true character

Least favorite .. when Fred died

I have always known that Snape was a good guy ... just never imagined he was so good. James was a turd and Snape was a great guy .. just in the wrong crowd and Lily choose good over evil!

You're quote is a bad spoiler I saw it before I finished.

I had a really hard time with Dobby's death actually. I felt SOOO horrible. Then Harry digging the grave himself :bawl:

My favorite part really was Ron kissing Hermione FINALLY!

I don't think the story proves that Snape was GOOD at all. Loyal, yes, but Good? He loved Harry's mother (or was infatuated with her) but he clearly did not love Harry, because, in his estimation he was more like James than his mother. Can you imagine how
Snape would have been as a step-father to Harry, had Voldemort killed only James and Snape had gotten his wish...and assuming that Lilly would have had him? Snape frankly told DD that he'd wanted Voldemort to kill James AND Harry so he could have Lilly
for himself. I'm sorry, no way does that EVER make Snape a good guy ... in love or otherwise! I also don't think I'd want him teaching in my school

Never did I read that Snape wanted Harry and James dead ?!?! If he didn't love Lily so much, he would have never in a million years protected Harry ... sending the White Doe to Harry proves his strength ... and even if he didn't "love" Harry ... his affection for him FAR OUTWEIGHED that for Tom Riddle.

I don't think he said he wanted them dead...just that he wanted Voldemort to spare Lily, right?

When DD says "you do not care, then, about the deaths of her husband and child? They can die, as long as you have what you want?"

Snape said nothing, but merely looked up at Dumbledore.

"hide them all, then," he croaked. "keep her--them--safe. Please"

He only said to keep them all safe because it's what DD wanted to hear.

JMHO but if he didn't care about Harry at all .. he would have oft'ed him early on .. Lily was gone .. NOBODY knew he was doing good (he asked DD to never tell anybody) .. so he had to have given a hoot about him .. He was very brave to hold that all inside and protect Harry from Quirrell (splg) and from Malfoy .. and to send the doe to Harry ...
