I didn't think it would so much work!

A friend of mine gave me a child's folding table and chairs that was dark blue with a sports themed top and cushions. Because Brenna is my only child that it is appropriately sized for, I decided to repaint and cover it.
Yesterday I got the table top and the cushions off the chairs and sanded all the paint down and planned to paint it today. I thought spray painting would be simple! First of all I can't seem to make even strokes at all and secondly my hand hurts so bad.
I've already gone through one can of paint and now I'm taking a break before starting up on the next coat.
I plan to go out tonight and find either a vinyl table cloth in colors I like or head over to Joanne to find a vinyl fabric to cover it with. I still have to find someone with a staple gun to borrow...

Brush painting would have been easier. It's so hard to keep spray paint even over any kind of largish surface.

I can't wait to see how cute it is done.

I've discovered that all those little projects turn out to be much more difficult (and costly) than planned!

Sounds like it'll be cute though! Can't wait to see it!

No kidding Dawn! Free table and chairs but after $12 in spray paint, $6 for a tarp, whatever the fabric is going to cost me, and then if I have to purchase my own staple gun....

Well apparently it is all in the paint! I went back to the store to pick up another can of paint and they didn't have anymore of the cheap stuff so I paid more for a can of rustoleum's painter's touch.... OMG it went on so smooth and easy (it had a really big button too) that I pulled out an old toy box and started painting it as well. Now I'm out of paint again...
