Preschool supplies

Has anyone ever had to buy school supplies for preschool? If so, what did they require?

Zach never needed anything in his private school (except blanket and nap stuff) and this fall he's starting a public magnet school preK 3 program and they told me he needs nothing. I did buy him a new backpack, lunchbox and nap pad. All the kids even get free breakfast and lunch in his new program.

We needed a backpack, folder, paint shirt, baby wipes, disposable camera and tissues

Backpack, folder, roll of paper towels, and an extra set of clothes in a gallon size ziplock bag to keep in their backpack in case of an accident. x2 because I have twins.
I also have to pay a supply fee.
