Baby gates!?!

I'm right now. I'm trying to find a gate that will work for us.

I have a really big opening (7 1/2 feet) it's a diagonal and brick on one side. Needless to say finding a gate that will work for it is near impossible. I've found ONE I like but it's hardware mounted and not pressure mounted. Well installing hardware into my brick should be fun This isn't stairs either, just the edge of my living room.

Any other ideas?

My first choice My second choice

What about something like this?

sounds hard to fit, any of those would work, we found pressure fitted don't do so well on stairs unless you mount it partially anyhow

If I had to choose, I'd go with #1. #2 is too flimsy for a large opening. We have one of those types at the top of our basement stairs -- it mounts to the walls and works perfectly for a small opening. I really like #1.... it looks better for the babies if they accidentally fall into it.

I was also going to suggest checking with One step ahead online. Their catalogs always have a good selection of safety stuff... and it seems comparable to the Target pricing too.

Good luck.

I've already checked one step, they only have the big one Karen posted.

I think I'm just going to get the one I like from Target or something. I'll look around and see who has it cheapest. I don't need it quite yet but soon. He's an awesome crawler now.

We have #2 for our stairs and Zach's bedroom door. They're good but too flimsy if used for a large opening like Kim said. I like #1 or Karen's.

Those Superyard type deals are good for openings like that, and they are segmented so you can make them smaller or buy extensions to make them longer. Plus you can use them as a little yard outside
