Waking up early

Aaron is starting to get up at 6 or 6:30am and come into our room asking for breakfast, to play, etc. We told him to play quietly in his room until 7am, then we can all wake up. He's stubborn and ends up making so much noise that we can't get any sleep. Any suggestions on how to keep him asleep or at least quiet until a reasonable hour?

I have no tips. Alyssa (when little) was always up with the sun (literally). Kate and Peyton are up by about 6:45 everyday and we HAVE to get up with Kate or she gets into things and makes a mess. Now that Lys is back in school she has to be there at 7:30 so we are up at 6 ish everyday.

We have this problem every now and again so this is what we do. We have the t.v. set on a kid-friendly station that we know the kids will watch and that I'm not worried about what they'll watch (Sprout, usually) and all they have to do is turn on the t.v. That may be something you don't want to do but it helps buy me a little more sleep sometimes.

Zach has a gate in his doorway. He gets up between 7 and 8 usually and will play in his room. I'll even go in there sometimes and lay on the other twin bed. I know he's safe and can't go downstairs by himself with the gate. We really did it so that he can't get out in the night when we're sleeping. He has his own bathrooma nd I was afraid of that but it also keeps him quiet in the morning.

No, no tv in his room. I like to monitor what he watches. Well, I am hoping when we move that he will revert back to his normal time. We have great window coverings in the new house that will hopefully filter some of the light.

Oh man, he got up at 6am today!!! Of course I didn't get back to sleep after that. I'm gonna have to put in my earplugs.
