Hmmm...

I wonder if they took in to account if the mothers were right or left handed? I would think it only natural for a left handed mother to cradle on the right as it leaves her prominent hand free to touch and feed. Not only that but it is just much more comfortable to have your prominent hand free.
So MAYBE they need to reevalute their findings to see if it is actually Left handed mothers that are more prone to stress and depression and has nothing to do at all with cradling.

In the article it said that it didn't matter if the moms were right or left handed. Now I don't know how they tested so weho knows.

I agree it's just another study for people with too much time on their hands.

So I guess I was stressed and relaxed as I cradled a baby in both arms course it could also be as I had two babies I had to hold them one in each arm, If I had held them both in one arm I would truely have been stressed no matter which arm it was

I'm a lefty and I hold Gabe in my left arm/hand ALL the time because it's stronger then my right hand.

I'm a lefty, and I always held Joey on my right for that reason. And, if I fell, I could break my fall (and his) with my left hand much better than my right, and I knew it.
