Low Fluid

How worried should I be if it's only a little low? I still have to see a specialist an hour away from home. I'm really scared right now! Anyone else have this problem in pregnancy?

A friend of mine did. She had a tear in her placenta very high up. Her pregnancy was fine. She had the same problem with her first too. Not a tear though. They didnt find out what caused it the first time.

With my first pregnancy I had low fluid. All it really meant for me was extra monitoring.....ultrasounds every 2 weeks and non stress test twice a week.
It did make a difference in labor though. Because I had low fluid my contractions put pressure on the umbilical cord and would cause Josh's heart rate to drop with each contraction. I had to be closely monitored, including internal monitoring and extra oxygen, and couldn't move around like I wanted.
All in all it didn't really cause any true complications and Josh was healthy as a horse.
