TTC - how often?

I have heard that you have the best chance of conceiving if you try every other day but I have also heard that you have the best chance if you do it once a day. I am entering my 'peak' time and was thinking I didn't want to miss out on a day of trying but I don't want to mess things up either!

This is my 3rd month of trying and I am tired of waiting! LOL think baby for me!

I would say if it's your peak time, then every day, and then every other day other times. Sometimes your estimates can be off and you might ovulate earlier or later in your cycle than you think--this can be true every month or just some months. Ovulating on day 14 is only an average--many women ovulate earlier or later.

When we were trying to conceive Baby #2 (Matthew), we had sex several days leading up to my day of ovulation. After sex, I laid down and had my pelvis raised up with pillows for at least 30 to 45 minutes.

How about trying one of those test that lets you know when you are ready. Worked for me but could have just been luck

When we were trying my midwife gave me a book about menstrual cycles. If you have any mucus, then sperm can live 3-4 days. I just tracked my temp on a daily basis and made note of how 'wet' or 'dry' (with mucus, not from being turned on) I was. If my temp was low, but I was wet, then we had sex. If my temp was up but I was dry, we had sex.

aww, poor thing..i wish you the best! it's always like this. when ever you wnat something really really bad it takes forever to come, and then when you take your mind off of it BAM!!!! it's right in front of your face!!! it will happen soon GL!

We just did every day (and sometimes more, lol) and it worked great. My biggest concern was that the birth control might still be in my system and it would be a problem. I used the Nuva Ring, which I really liked, and it's not supposed to have a long-lasting effect when you stop using it, but I was worried about it anyway. My husband likes to tease me and say that I always need something to worry about!
