How do you know?

I'm not sure if I am putting this in the correct forum, if I'm wrong, sorry lol

How did most of you know when you were ready for a baby? My husband and I want a child but aren't exactly perfect on the money side of things. I realize that a lot of babies are born that are unplanned and things work out but since we seem to have control of things do we continue waiting or is it just one of those things we should just let happen?

From the relationship stance, we are fully committed to each other and I'm positive that we could get through anything. And we've talked about how our work schedules are (opposite) so we wouldn't need a babysitter.

Am I just letting money get the best of me because if that's the reason I may never feel that we're ready lol

if it is just money to afford the extra baby stuff i wouldn't stress over it too much, if it is trouble making the house payment then i would say maybe wait until you are more stable.

It sounds an feels to me that you are ready and just having doubts, i say it is probably time to stop trying NOT to have a baby

Welcome to Baby U! I hope to get to know you much much better through your decisions and your journey through pregnancy!

HOn don't let money stop you. If you waited until you were "financially ready" for a child, then you will never be ready.......THings always just end up working out.....and yes we spend a lot of money on our children and things for our children....but we would just be spending that money on other things if we had no children.

Somone once told me that there is no such thing as being financially ready for kids. You just are ready when you are ready, and the money part of it all just ends up falling into place

Thanks for your input guys! We are struggling a little bit financially but I was always worried that if I let money be an issue it would always be..

There is never going to be a perfect time to have a baby. If you think you have the money for the babys basic needs, then I would say go for it.
