Grrr...Screaming

Gracie is 18 months old now and just in the past few weeks has started this irritating behavior of shrieking at the top of her lungs when something is not going her way or you are not giving her every bit of attention she wants. She is definitely in demand mode lately whether it is the screaming to get your attention or throwing an object at you (or shoving it in your face) when she wants you to play. My nerves get so on edge and I don't know how to deal with the behavior in an effective way.
Any suggestions or even just support from other mom's going through this stage?

one stage i don't miss at all.

a boatload of patience needed, but what if you just ignore the behavior for a straight day. like i said a boatload of patience. when she sees she doesn't always get what she wants by shrieking or throwing maybe she will stop?

taking a step away used to work for me.. sometimes it is my frustration fueling the behavior. we are at that stage right now

LOL, again it must be those babie sborn in May 07. Noah does the screaming thing too and he will also charge Zach if Zach takes something from him (albeit this happens frequently and Noah is just plain fed up wit not standing up for himself). My only advice...this too shall pass and our babies won't be babies much longer.

I know... I'm trying to remember that and cherish the baby moments with her! It's just so hard when she's red faced and screaming at me because I won't give her my full attention 24/7.
This too shall pass...
