Green bean casserole

2 cans of French cut green beans, drained
1 can of sweet peas, drained
1 can Cream of Potato soup
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheese
1 large can of French Fried Onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients in a big bowl except the french fried onions. Pour mixture into casserole dish. Sprinkle French Fried onions on top. Cover with foil. Bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve.

I'm hoping to stop at the grocery store on the way home and get the ingredients to make it again. Maybe we'll have it this evening with something else. I have some hamburger meat in the freezer so if I can figure out what to make from that and have green bean casserole, then my meal for this evening will be planned.

I love green bean casserole. I've only tried it with cream of mushroom soup though.

Can you use frozen peas instead of canned. I hate canned peas - they're too mushy!
