I haven't bought the kid's holiday outfits yet. Where did ya'll get your's, what do they look like and how much did you pay for them?

I'm making them - but I haven't any ideas yet. Normally I have an idea and someting speaks to me. Nothing this year. No clue. Other than I want to go simple.

I don't have Holiday outfits for the kids and I'm still not sure that I'm going to dress them in anything special. I'd like to take them to have pictures with Santa but they'll probably end up wearing clothes that they already have.

I got Olivia's outfit on EBay (Greggy Girl Miracle on 34th Street) and I still haven't bought the boys'. They will probably wear Gymboree, the holiday boys clothes are nice this year...

This is Olivia's:

Jaedyn dress came from Burlington Coat Factory 32 dollars. Her shoes I got in a lot of clothes from Craigslist. Ivory/cream tuul with a cream half sweater and fur around the colar.

Jimmy's dress shirt came from JCP and his black corduroy came from TJMAXX. His outfit cost a little more because he had to have shoes, 47 dollars...

I got a red dress with matching red suede pumps this year as well both only cost me!!!! 62 dollars....and the Dress is Express and the shoes are Nina

Emily has two holiday dresses, both came from Kohl's. One is red with fur around the collar and at the wrists. One is black and red and really girly. The red one was about $30 (on sale) and the black and red was $34 or $36 (MIL bought it, also on sale).
Travis is wearing a cute sweater and courdory pants. His outfit came from Kohl's and cost about $30 or so. I can't really remember. It was on sale too.

omg Dana, that dress is TDF!!

I know, isn't it adorable?!

That really is adorable Dana!

Gracie has a black velvet tutu like skirt from Gymbo that I think I'm going dress her in with her little black ankle boots. I just need to find a red sweater and some tights to go along with it.
I hate that I have to make a trip all the way to the mall to find clothes and then back again to do pics with Santa. It's about a 45 min drive that I dread.

That's such a cute dress. I bought DS a Christmas sweater and new corduroys from Gap Kids.

Thanks! I was in the mall, went to Disney and they just caught my eye. Didn't hurt that they JUST marked them 40% off that day! Finally! Luck!

Call me clueless but what is a holiday outfit and what/when is it worn for? Maybe with a boy it's not quite as important...

It's a special outfit they where to church or family for the holidays

Okay, that's what I thought. Guess if I had a girl I'd buy something adorable but for a boy, I don't know, just doesn't sound as important. He'd have it off and be running naked in a few minutes or he'd go find some dirt and roll in it.

Haven't even thought about it! It's generally something from Gymboree but I have not been at all impressed with their girl's clothes lately. I haven't even looked at the holiday line though. The only time I have even been to the mall in the last two months is to get patients. Definately going through shopping withdrawals.

I just happened to see matching (queer, huh?) outfits at Target and pickend them up in November some time. Black cords, red plaid button up **** and red sweater vest with black trim. Mike wore black pants and a red argyle sweater with grey and black and I wore high black boots, black skirt and a red sweater twin set. We wore this for our family pics we used on Christmas cards, will wear it to church on Christmas Eve and for our Christmas Eve party.

Bwahahahahaha! You're joking right? I'm lucky to get Drew into clean PRESENTABLE clothes these days! So he will just be wearing his khaki pants with a white polo style shirt - that's about as fancy as this 13yo is willing to get (without a major fight).

Ally has several dresses that have been given to her by her friends or cousins. Since she rarely dresses up, we will use one of them insead of buying a new outfit. She has a beautiful black velvet A-Line dress with a red velvet collar and tie-waist. She also has a dress that is a black velvet skirt with the traditional Christmas red plaid top, the collar has holly berries on it. Then there is the red slip dress with the holiday trim on the bottom and around the collar. Not to mention 2 or 3 others. See my point? No need to buy when she already has so many.

I'm actually partial to the black velvet, but it will all depend on the weather. If it's warm here again, then we will probably go with the traditional black and red (its lighter weight).

Money is tight this year so I got Maddie's at Walmart for under $20. Abby was going to wear one of Maddie's old Christmas dresses but Maddie just looked so cute and they had the same dress in Abby's size so I splurged and got her one too. The tops are black velvet and the bottoms are red. Gavin I went to Kohl's. He isn't much on dressing up and I wanted him to have something that he could wear for regular. He got brown cords and a red sweater...think I spent around $20 on his outfit...after thanksgiving sales rock!

I ended up buying the girls cause I just ran out of time to make them. (thanks to DAD being GONE way too much )

So we bought matching ones from Kohls. They were 50 or 60% off and then a really sweet lady gave me a coupon for another 15% off.

I love Kohl's....think it is one of my new fav places to get clothes. They have really awesome sales and clearances and I like the Sonoma brand.

What about whole foods? They have a good line.
