Wow... Have to say how proud I am of Miss Tessa. She is in the music club at her school, and they did a Christmas Program yesterday called Christmas in Candy Cane Lane. She is one of the talking Candy Canes (she has about 10 lines).
She came home yesterday crying that her ear hurt, I gave her some meds and she seemed fine.
Midnight comes and she is up and crying. Trip to the ER, it's an infection... Meds and home again.
She went to school anyway this morning, she said it wasn't hurting. She didn't want to let the club down (they had another performance today at a German school).
Anyway she did the performance, and then the chaperone called me (she is a friend of mine) to let me know that Tessa was crying and holding her ear.
I went to the school to meet the bus and bring her home. The Music teacher had no idea that she was even sick, he said that she didn't show it at all during the performance. He then went on to tell me that Tessa learns lines and music faster than most of the other kids. He stressed that I need to keep her involved in music programs, and particularly musical drama as long as possible because he sees real talent in her. She wasn't with me when he said all this, but I'm just as proud as can be that even though she apparently was hurting, she hid it and did her best.
