My daughter would have been 2 Decemeber 15 and yesterday was her death date. She was only 15 days old when we let her go. We miss her terribly and my son has so many questions and is starting to understand a little more every year. For her death date we sent balloons to heaven for her. (Caleb's idea). We had so many friends and family with us and it was the best feeling ever.

If you do have any questions or would like to talk please let me know. It would be nice to hear other stories. During that time you feel like you are the only one going through it, but you know there are others just different situations.

I'm sorry for your loss. There are other members here who have lost infants... You are not alone.

I think the balloons is a nice idea

I am sorry you had to go through that. My daughter sends my parents and my husband's dad balloons (to heaven) all the time. She kisses them and then sends them up. It's so sweet to see her do that!

You know I am always here for you and you have so many other people who are too. I have no idea what you are going through. I hope you can find some people here who do and that you can relate with. I think sending the balloons is a great way to honor and remember her- especially for Caleb. I have to say I admire you for keeping Caleb involved- it probably would have been a lot easier to avoid questions but you take time to help Caleb understand. I think that is important.
