Should I say something?

Ok, I may have talked before about my nephew having developmental probs. He is 14 months old, can't sit up on his own, barely rolling over, no speech at all. My brother has had him to dozens of drs - therapists, neurologists, everything. They've done tons of tests, and still have no answers as to what is wrong with him. The other night I was at my bro's for a few hours, and really watched Micheal(my nephew). I noticed that he doesn't really ever interact with anyone elses. Never makes eye contact or even seem to acknowledge that anyone else is around. He also has the odd way of holding his jaw- always seems to have his bottom jaw thrust out. When SIL tries to feed him, he sits there with his mouth open wide, tongue hanging out and just let the food fall back out of his mouth. I was told by several people that it sounded possible he could be autistic. I thought of telling my bro that he should ask his dr about it, but don't want to upset him needlessly ( if it's wrong) . I really don't know much about autism,. so I really have no clue if what I was told is correct. Should I say something to him?

The no interaction or eye contact is possible sign of Autism. Maybe do some basic research yourself and print up (from a couple sites) common signs of Autism and give them to him. There is no easy way to share this kind of information, so just do it in the most gentle and loving way you can.

to all of you.
