I really hope they find Meredith and Ella. I've been trying to keep up on this and hope there is a good outcome and that they find them.

Cheryl, they found the dog, but what concerns me is that she walked into a grocery store about 60 miles from where Meredith went missing. I don't think that's a good sign at all. I just don't think the dog could have wandered or walked from Blood Mountain to the town of Cumming. I am afraid there won't be a happy ending to this. I saw on the news tonight where the police took several bags of evidence from a convenience store dumpster today. That's not good either. The rumor is that the bags contained Meredith's personal effects.

You're right. That doesn't sound good. I hear they have Gary Hilton in custody for questioning and that he isn't cooperating. That right there is a red flag in itself. If he was innocent you'd think he would WANT to cooperate.

This is so sad!! Even if she isn't alive I hope they find her body so that her family and friends can have closure.

On the news this morning, they revealed some of the evidence against Hilton. Close to where Meredith's dog was found, police went through a dumpster at a convenience store. They found her driver's license, her college ID, blood soaked clothes, and part of a bloody seatbelt. Her credit card has been used, and the man on the survellience video appears to be Hilton. When police found Hilton, they caught him at a convenience store, further south of where the dog was found, and he was cleaning his van with bleach and vacuuming it. They also discovered that part of the van's rear seatbelt had been cut away. I don't think it looks good.

Now I am reading that he tried to use her credit card at two ATMs on the day she disappeared. They also know that he used the pay phone at the store where her ID and clothes were found.

It's such a tragedy. I can't imagine what her family and friends are feeling right now. I saw an interview online (can't remember which site it was on) and Meredith's roommate and godmother was on there. Her roommate said that she feels sorry for the suspect because he probably doesn't have supportive family and friends like Meredith does. That takes a lot of umph to say that. I would be so angry at him and say he needs to suffer for what he must have done to Meredith.

She could be anywhere between Blood Mountain and where they arrested the suspect. Lots of isolated places. Lots of woods. I just hope by some miracle she might just be wounded and laying somewhere out there. I have a feeling she is gone though.

I saw that on the national news. I hope they find her.

I am watching the BCS Championship, and they just did a subscreen with breaking news. Meredith's body was found. They didn't give any other details. Not surprising, but so sad.
