My sister stopped by yesterday, and since she had just come from my brothers place, filled me in about my nephews most recent dr appointment on Friday. They have a diagnoses, and I was correct in my thoughts....They said he has a form of autism, and they also said he has a defective Y chromosome, my sister told me. My bro and SIL, while not happy about the diagnoses, are relieved that at least now they know what it is and can adjust the early intervention services he is getting to his special needs... I'm glad that figured it out so early - he is only about 15 months old. Now I'm determined to learn as much as I can about it, so I help them in any way I can.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I could say to Alice (17 months) "Where's the duck?" And she could point him out on the page. And "Where's the cow?" "Where's the cat?" Etc. And we can do the animal...
At least they know now, and can work toward helping him in the most effective way possible.
