Have you tried taking a tablespoon or so of mineral oil every day? It might help.

When I was preggers I had a lot of problems with this and afterwards actually. Due to the hemmoroids my body never wanted to go. Anyway, my dr told me that it was perfectly fine to take pericolace every day and I still do. Does wonders! You can buy it VERY cheaply at WM. I take 2 every single day to keep me regular and to help me go.
