Hi, everyone! I can't express how happy I am to have stumbled upon this site. I found it one day through Google and read some of the pregnancy articles, and what do I know? Today I found there was a forum attached!

All right, I'm rambling now. I'm Eleanor, but prefer to be called Nora. It sounds less musty. I'll turn 24 in April and I'm expecting my first baby on 8th June. I'll be a single mum and I'm terrified about that. Sometimes I feel like I've got no idea of what I'm doing.

I hope I make some good friends here.

Nora! Welcome to BBU! Sundays are a bit dead around here, you'll see the boards pick up on the weekdays. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Hi, Nora! Welcome to BU! It is truly a great place, and I hope to see you around lots.
Don't worry--I am not a single mom, but I was terrified with both of my pregnancies--with the first I was just worried about all the new mom stuff, and with the second, I was worried about having two kids--and sometimes, a lot of times, actually, I still have no clue what I am doing! I think everyone feels that way. The ladies here are all great, and they are such good support, and you will find that they have great ideas and good advice!

Hey Nora! Welcome to BBU
There are single moms on here... And even those of us who are not single remember what it was like to be pregnant with that first baby. It is scary.
Tammy is right, even when you are an "old" hat at being a parent, you still don't really know what you are doing sometimes.
I look forward to getting to know someone on this side of the pond
