My daughter eats incredible amounts

Gracie has been eating like a pig for months now! I swear you would think the kid goes days between meals with the way she eats. She eats twice as much as my 11 year old and 3 times as much as my 6 year old. I'll give you yesterday's menu just as an example...
Breakfast(or before we leave the house in the am)
Bowl of cereal
half a banana
about 1/2 cup of milk

Lunch
half a can of chef boyardee Mac & Cheese
4 fish sticks
full cup of milk

Afternoon Snack
2 pumpkin scones (these were big, soft cookies)
a dozen grapes
juice

Dinner
child size portion of steak with orange sauce (started as a 2 x 4 in piece before being cut)
2 servings of shells & cheese
2 servings of corn (one of her favorites)
another cup of milk

Bedtime Snack
a dozen crackers with cream cheese
and even more milk

I'm not complaining because she is a healthy eater but it does make me wonder what is up with my other kids. lol It's funny because we will be out running errands and she'll start asking for "more tatoes". She rarely wants a "snack"... she wants a meal set in front of her.

Sounds like she is a grazer, like Ally. Ally eat ALL DAY LONG and never gains any weight. Then she starts eating even more (like right now) and that usually signals that she is getting ready to go thru another growth spurt. It's probably just that Brenna has a high metabolism, like Ally. Personally, I'm jealous!

My kids used to start eating in the morning and stop when they went to bed for about 3-4 weeks before a growth spurt, when it was over they would hardly eat anything.

If she is still eating a heck of a lot without gaining weight or growing a lot I would get her checked out for worms. Most kids get them at some stage, you can get OTC tablets for it. Does she get an itchy bottom? or is she still in nappys?

Worms? God, that made me laugh! I remember my brother getting ring worm all the time. The doc said it was because my mom kept him TOO clean and he never built up any immunities to anything! After that, she was only to wash his face and hands unless he was getting a bath. He still eats like there is no tomorrow, tho!

Re: My daughter eats incredible amounts

Not ringworm Intestinal worms, they live in your intestinal tract and down thru your bowels, kids get really hungry, are usually as skinny as, have an itchy rectum and they are as easily passed on as head lice, they can easily be cured by simple over the counter medications.
