okay how much weight did u gain in your pregnancys?
my first born which is my son i gained 67pounds.
my second child which is my oldest daughter i gained 31 pounds with her.
and the Twins i gained only 30 pounds with.

My son was 10 hours of hard labor, they used the vacume,got an episiotimy all the way down "ouch" with 2 epidurals and 1 demrol..he weighed 8pounds 2oz and 21 inches long

My oldest daughter was 10hrs of labor as well no medications nothing they broke my water at 6 cm dialated she again another episiotimy only 3 stiches with her
she weighed 7pounds 6 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

My Twins where an emergancy c-section went into premature labor at just under 35weeks was dialated to 8cm in a matter of 15minutes the oldest twin kiara weighed in at 5pounds 2.7 ounces and was 17 3/4 inches long and twin B jasmine was 5pounds 1 ounce and was 18 3/4 inches long.


cravings well with my son i would eat everything i was known well in mcdonalds on a 1st name basis they all already knew my order there thats how much i went(4times a week)
all foods were welcomed with him.

My oldest daughter was soooo picky i did NOT like many foods but salad pizza and tuna fish with pickles on it.

my twins no major cravings.

My oldest daughter. I gained rougly 65 lbs during the pregnancy and craved pepperoni pizza all the time. Labor was 15 hrs long and drug free.

I gained closer to 80lbs while pregnant with my son. Labor with him was 14.5 hrs long with an epidural. The only thing I can really remember craving was something called a Chicken Ceasar Pita that Wendy's used to carry.

My last pregnancy I gained about 40lbs. My cravings included Cherry Pies and Vanilla milk shakes from McDonalds. I also remember wanting sushi pretty badly but never giving in.
Labor lasted 6 hours and again I had an epidural (wish I hadn't with this one)

Weight gain:
abput 45 pounds each time. I ave lost most of it. I kept about 20 pounds from my first but people tell me that I needed to keep it

Labor - about 12 hours with the first, 5 or so with the 2nd and 2 with the last. I almost didn't make it to the hospital with my last. If my water would have broken she would have been born either at home or in the car.

OOh and I never really had any cravings with any of them.

How much weight did you gain?
With both of my pregnancies I only gained about 30 pounds, and I lost it promptly after I had my daughter. I think breastfeeding helped.

How many hours of labor? I was in labor 17.5 hours with Emily. After about 10 hours of labor, the nurse took pity on me and ordered an epidural. It quit working after about three hours. I only dilated to about 4 cm, even in spite of lots of pitocin and having the drip turned up all the way. So, I ended up having an emergency c-section.
No labor with Travis. I had a scheduled c-section.

any odd cravings? No odd cravings. With Emily I wanted lots of lemon Italian ice, peanut butter, and Granny Smith apples. I also wanted to eat Mexican food all the time. I did crave ice or water that was nearly frozen.
With Travis, the only thing I can remember craving is really HOT (spicy) Mexican food.

I gained 48 pounds with my son and craved McDonalds all the time. I was in labor about 7 hours with my son and pushed him out in 40 minutes, epidural stopped working

My daughter I gained 29 pounds and was gestational diabetic on a restricted diet which sucked, mostly ate cheese and ham slices and grapes. I was in labor with her also 7 hours but I pushed her out in 10 minutes, epidural also wore off with her.

Oh, you gals are going to throw things at me...

I gained 2 pounds. Yes, TWO. Of course, I was overweight to start with, so the doctor wasn't worried abut the weight gain, as long as I was eating.

All through my pregnancy I craved cottage cheese and orange juice. At about 4 months, I could no longer stand the smell of cooked hamburger (I couldn't even DRIVE past a McDonald's without feeling nauseous!).

DS was born at 35 weeks, after 4 hours of back labor (1.5 hours at the hospital) - au naturale - no drugs, no nothing, and I was NOT happy about that.

Judy the smell of hamburger cooking made me horribly nausiated. I could handle the smell of the prepared food and eating it just fine... but I couldn't be anywhere near it while the hamburger was browning.
I had major OJ cravings while I was pregnant with Asher too. I contributed that to being sick so often that my body was needed the vitamin C.

With the first, i was in actual labor about 6 hours and they did a c-section. With the second, it was a scheduled c-section.

With Jon, I craved water and frozen drinks like icees and slushes. With Sammy it was posicles and anything cold.

I gained 21 pounds with Drew - after losing 5 pounds the first trimester. With Ally, I only gained 7.5 and I ate like a friggin horse!

With Drew I craved sweets, which is very unusual for me, especially the chocolate (which I don't like). Mostly it was Ding Dongs and strawberry sundaes from DQ. With Ally, I just couldn't get enough water! I was thirsty all the time - I was going thru a case of bottled water like every other day with her.

Drew had to be induced - 12 days late - and labor was still 12.5 hours. And yes, I had an epidural. In fact, they had to give me meds twice because the first one wore off.

Ally came 12 days early, another epidural (and tranquilizers while we were waiting for the anethesiologist (sp?) because they didn't want me pushing yet). Not sure exactly how long I was in labor with her - apparently I was in labor when I went in for my appt, but I couldn't feel anything. But I would guess 10-12 hours.

Gaining the right amount of weight during pregnancy by eating a healthy, balanced diet is a good sign that your baby is getting all the nutrients he or she needs and is growing at a healthy rate. It is not necessary to "eat for two" during pregnancy.
