Belated HELLO!

Hi All,

I realized I never introduced myself, forgive me. I jumped right in and forgot to say "hey!".

My name is Janice, I live in Central Texas with my husband and a house full of pets. We just had 5 pups added to our house yesterday by LeeLu our Hunt Terrier. The poppa is Magnus our Russell Terrier and this is their second (and last!) litter. We also have a chihuahua named Skeletor, a tortoiseshell Persian cat named Kiki, an American parakeet and an English budgie.

I've had such a great time getting to know you all, I really look forward to being apart of the BabyU community.

Hi, Janice ! I'm Lisa, Mom to one. I've been absent for some time, due to health issues ( depression ) and taking care of my Mom prior to her passing earlier this year.
I'm sooo glad to back !

BTW - you look familiar...have you lived in Kyle for long? ( I'm in San Antonio )

Hello-
I'm Krista and I am a single Mom to four children ages 4,7,10 and 12 yrs old. This past year has been a real challenge so I haven't been on bbu as much but I am trying. I have been on BBU for 7yrs now and look forward to having the boards be hopping again.

So, welcome Janice. I think that you will find that there are a really great group of ladies here. I have made so many wonderful friends over the years and have had the privilege of meeting a lot of them irl.
Can I be nosey? Why did you decide to run a parenting site when you don't have any children of your own?

I'm cool with the noseyness while you get to know me. I understand the topic here is parenting and children, this community holds something special to me because I believe in connecting women. BabyU has a sisterhood that is undeniable. Those of you who have hung in here through thick and thin speak for this.

I don't think think that having children is necessary for me to be able to provide the best place possible for mothers and women to connect with one another and share our experiences, our laughter and our tears. Along the way we learn from one another and develop relationships that go beyond an online existence. It is my goal to provide a safe and neutral atmosphere for you to enjoy spending people who have the same interests!

Hi Janice! Welcome, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

I'm Tara, my husband Mike and I have 6 kids. Christian(14 yrs...my step son, but you would never know it since we are very close), Michael(10), Devon(9), Nicholas(4), Kiera(will be 3 in May), and Joshua(7 months). The twins are due in October. We live in beautiful MN.

I'm Brenda, married to Rick (11 years this July) and we have 2 kids - Andrew (Drew -14 in Aug) and Alexis (Ally who just turned 7 in Jan). I joined about 2 weeks after Ally was born, so I have been here almost from the beginning (has it really been that long?).

You are right - no need to have kids to be a welcome member here! In fact, I remember a time when several of the most prominent members didn't have children yet! (God, I really AM getting old! LOL!) It's great to have a place where you can go and just be yourself.
