It's My Right to Have Kid, Pregnant Man Tells Oprah - Page 3

Re: It's My Right to Have Kid, Pregnant Man Tells Oprah

Please do not preach to me what is "God's Plan" and god says this god says that. I do not believe in the bible (I do not believe my life should be dictated by a book written by man) and I do not believe in your idea of god. Therefore, I have no religion, book, or god to tell me my friends are wrong or that this man is wrong for having a child.

I am also trying not to say bad words because I don't see a use for them really. I find them unneeded when my anger and frustration can be taken out in better ways than spouting off words like that. I'm not doing it because God says those words are wrong. I just don't like the idea of saying them.

Now back to the discussion of the man who is pregnant. I can't wait to follow this. While I don't think it should have been made public, now that it is, I want to follow his pregnancy along. I'm pretty sure he's had to stop hormone treatment if he was on it.

I don't feel like I am close minded either. I just feel it is unfortunate that the one person out of all of this that will feel the stigma, no matter how much progress is made in todays world, will be that baby. PERIOD. Do what you want with your body, it is your right. But that child did not have a say to be born into that situation. That child will be the one to deal with it. There is always going to be someone who will point it out and treat them like an outsider. Unfortunately, that is the world we live in.

And it seems to me that this post has become nothing about the initial posting.... about a baby being born. Not about transgender stuff being right or wrong. We all have opinions, it is what makes us individuals. If the opinions weren't wanted, it shouldn't have been asked.
