question?

Hello to all, new (old- was here 6 yrs ago with son) member here. I have a quick question I need to ask before I go nuts.
ok here we go (sorry its kinda long)

5 yrs ago I had a tubal ligation. This month I haven't had my period as of yet, it was suppose to be due around the 14th (that would have been day 30 of my cycle) My period in March was on the 15th. I am currently on day 38 of this cycle. I use to ovulate around the 18th day of but because I had tubes done I don't take my temps anymore to determine when I ovulate. If I put the ovulation date on the April 1st (day 18 of cycle) in my fertility software that I use to keep track of my periods it says that I am 20 dpo, and that I maybe pregnant. What do you guys think, should I break down and take a test or wait? My appetite hasn't been as good lately and I have been getting woozy for the last 3 days. Yesterday my hubby and I noticed my boobs were a little bigger and the skin felt very tight, (still do this morning)

Thanks for taking the time to read this
Marian

Re: question?

Take a test....asap. Because the incidence of a tubal pregnancy is greater after having a ligation you would want to see a doctor as soon as possible if it turns out you are pregnant.
Good luck...I hope things turn out the way you want them to.

PS...Welcome back!

Re: question?

Definitely test. If you are indeed pregnant, you will need to see an OB asap to monitor you closely to make sure you don't have a tubal pregnancy.

Re: question?

Thank you for the warm welcome. No sooner did I hit the post button that I started cramping very little....went to the bathroom and low and behold my period is starting. All though so far this isn't a regular one, light bleeding and cramping on my lower right side, Usually it is very heavy and horrible cramps all over. Oh well, so much for hoping. I have regretted having my tubes tied from day one. So maybe one day those little tubes will knit themselves together again and we will have a big surprise.

Thanks again,
Marian

Re: question?

Do you think I should still test even with the 'lighter period' showing up?

Re: question?

Hmmmm... Could be implantation bleeding. I'd test just to be sure. If it's postive and you continue bleeding or cramping, you should probably call your doctor.

Re: question?

I would test and if you get a positive call your DR right away. I would be more concerned with the one sided cramping because of the risk factors....but other then wasting a couple bucks it can't hurt to test.

Re: question?

well, it would be negative. Besides that the flow has gotten heavy with clots. (I know- eeeeww, to much info. ). Who knows maybe I was but something just wasn't meant to be at this time.

Thanks for the support and information,
Marian
