You'd think that as a mom of an infant, I'd be better at this, but....

I need a list of essential things for a baby. Aside from furniture and clothes and diapers...
I'm trying to get a gift basket together for a lady at church. Things like thermometers, nasal aspirators, Q-tips, baby nail clippers, etc. that people forget about.

She has two boys, ages 5 and 8. This one is going to be a girl.

What about medicines that she probably hasn't had on hand for quite awhile... Vicks baby rub, saline spray, infant tylenol, gas drops, a GOOD medicine dropper, thermometer, diaper cream, etc.

I always drop by the dollar store and pick up some of the safety things - like outlet plugs, corner cushions, etc. Also, what about manicure sets, hairbrushs, gum cleaners, travel size stuff (powder, shampoo, etc), changing pad, and an extra bag.
