I'm not sure who did this study or where the information comes from but I heard this on the radio this morning...
If BOTH parents of a child attend church regularly, there is a 65% chance that the child will remain faithful in his/her religion.
If only the FATHER attends church regularly, the percentage takes a slight drop to 60%
If only the MOTHER attends church regularly, the percentage drops to only a 15% chance that the child will remain faithful in his/her religion.
The point behind what the man was saying was to show how much of an influence parents are on their children. However, the message I got was how much more of a roll model the father is for his children than the mother.
