It's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman — she's pregnant with her 18th child.

Well, it's not a record yet. There was a family in the town next to mine who had 21. I'm not sure what the record is.

She's not even close. The record is 56 recorded births.

SHE'S BEING called "the mother of all mothers." Leontina Albina is 65 years old and claims to be the mother of 64 children. A year ago, the Chilean woman was included in the Guinness Book of Records, with 55 documented births.

I am sorry but that is just crazy!! Could you imagine 18 kids? I know they all pitch in and help but you have to almos tisolate them to keep the kids from picking up bad habbits. They do though with the homeschooling and stuff. I know for me I could never do it.

Agreed, Becky! Personally, I think there are easier ways to kill yourself. Ducking the thrown vegatables.

Geezes! She's at it again?!? I bet that woman can't even remember what it feels like to NOT be pregnant! I'm with the ladies who think it's just insane to have that many children ...more power to her though.

I admire her willingness to have that many children, but I would be worried about her body and the wear and tear having that many pregnancies can have on her. I hope she is able to live long enough to see all her children become successful. I imagine she doesn't get that much peace and quiet around her house.

I'll tell you one thing: she's got to be extremely organized and extremely patient. I think they are conservative Christians and don't believe in birth control. Wonder how many more they will have before she goes through menopause? She's still young!

It's certainly not for me. But they can handle it, and they have found a way to afford everything they need without going into debt. So, more power to 'em.
