Robyn...I know what you mean. I am horrible at keeping plants alive. I would like to give it a try though. I would like to get some perrenials...like daffodils...and some garden statues to put out front. I need to get plants that can take partial sun and partial shade because of the area I plan on planting them in.
The garlic sprouted in my fridge. Since I had all these empty pots sitting around with nothing in them, I planted all of it rather than throw it away. Man, has that stuff been growing like wildfire! Two days in the soil and all my plants have grown at least three inches.
I planted some kelanchoe and so far they are thriving in this drought. I planted a pittosporum and it looks dry but is still alive. I planted a jasmine vine and it lost its flowers but is still looking somewhat chipper. I have my best luck with cacti. You can't kill them.
