Re: Summer Vacation Plans

I had planned on taking the kids to see my mom and dad in Nashville sometime this summer. But witht he price of gas, I don't think that is going to be possible. More than likely, we will simply spend alot of time at the pool. They both enjoy that and it's free. Plus, it's close enough that we can walk or ride our bikes (about 7-8 blocks), so I don't even have to use the car if I don't want to.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

I'm going to see my sister and her family which is about 7 hours away. I decided I don't care how much gas is right now and that I deserve a little getaway. I might even go see my bro in GA either over 4th of July or Labor Day weekend (probably more and likely the latter).

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

We may go on a day trip or two, but at $4 a gallon and the price is going no where but up, it doesn't look like we'll be leaving town for much at all.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

I'll have to make a trip down to NC at some point to pick Haley up from my mom's house and visit my best friend. Not sure how I'm going to afford that yet.
Mostly we'll just spend free days at the pool... I'm planning on buying a family membership this year.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

we'll probably have a couple of day-trips. Nate wants to go the zoo sometime and there are a few other places that I would like to visit if we can afford the gas!!

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

Hey, Cheryl, let me know if you decide to come to the great state of Georgia! We'll try to meet up!

Kyle and I have a couples retreat with our home fellowship group at the end of the month. We are going to Gulf Shores.
Then in June I am going on the annual Girls' Trip to the Beach. We are going to Gulf Shores.
Then at the end August, we are taking our family vacation to Gulf Shores.
We also have a week booked at the beginning of August, but we are not sure if we are going then too or not.
I would like to go see my sister this summer. We all fly free, but we would have to rent a car, and that gets a little pricey. Plus she lives in California, so gas for the rental car can be pricey, too. We'll see. I really want to go out and see her.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

Heading to Orlando next week (OMG I CANT WAIT) to have some serious FUN and meet several of my co-workers I've only had the pleasure of speaking with virtually.

The 1st of September DH and I will be heading to Morrison, CO to see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. I'm SO STOKED!

There will be a couple of day trips in between to Dallas and Houston for two shows I'll be seeing with my older sister.

I'm really excited for summer this year!

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

We're planning at least two trips to our place up in NH this summer - one probably over the 4th of July, and one either in late July or early August. One (or both) of those will include a stop off in Connecticut to visit my husband's relatives, too, but that's on the way, so not really an extra trip - just an extra stop.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

Probably visiting my family. And talking Jonathan to the inlaws. With gas, though, even that is stretching it.

Re: Summer Vacation Plans

Lisa, if you come thru Houston, give me a holler! Jared and Ally are only 1 year apart, so maybe we can have a play date.
