My inlaws have started some legal services business which they want us to subscribe to. Okay, why would we do this? These two don't have an hour of law school between the two of them. They aren't paralegals. They aren't notary publics. Heck, they've asked dh for legal advice on several occasions. This is the in law who actually believes every bit of chain mail sent her way. Plus they live on a military base where most legal services are free.
Furthermore, we live a little over an hour from a large law school. You cannot throw a rock in this town without it hitting a lawyer. Seriously, there is a glut of lawyers here. They compete to be family court judges and public defending is seriously contested. I know one of these days, they are going to expect answer to the ole questions "what do you think of our new business?" and "when can we sign you up for some?"
I am seriously letting dh handle this one. Last time they asked for yet more help (they are constantly in an earth shaking crisis
), he told them they are their problem and to get some damn counseling. These are the kind of relatives who only call when they want something. And they are always into some scheme that they want us to buy into. I can't even list all the schemes they've had in the last couple of years.
There was the sex toys business that costs $2 grand and yielded nothing. There was the nudist colony that no one wanted to join. Another favorite was the ole taping their intimate acts and trying to sell it over the web. That only works if you're good looking and not the type other people would pay not to see naked. The vaccum cleaner sales. The car sales (actually sold some cars with that one). The encyclopedia sales. The frozen foods business delivered to the home. (Difficult to make money at if you have no plans of actually driving anywhere.) The finicial network where they give gullible people advice about investing, but no one is that gullible. And the list goes on and on.
I know everyone is related to someone like this. Now, I've gotten out my annoyance, it's your big chance to rant about them. Besides, the boards have been slow lately.

Sounds like they are endless warnings.
