May 19, 2008 -- JSM Meat Holdings Company of Chicago is recalling certain beef products because of risk of E. coli contamination.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the voluntary recall, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
E. coli bacteria can cause diarrhea, which may be bloody. Serious and potentially fatal complications may develop; babies, elders, and people with weak immune systems are especially vulnerable.
