My 15month baby boy has 2 stubbron styes....or is it really a stye. The omthomologist says its a bacteria from the nose to eye story...Both oral and local antibiotic has been applied, it reduced the swelling and prevented new styes from growing. Now both styes sit under either eyelid with a yellowish head (puss) and they just stay there. This is now going on for 5 months and nothing has cured him. I have tried it all, from hot cloths, baby shampoo, antibiotics and now I am on the homeopathic medicine....still no result. I read all mothers queries on the same issue but am yet to come across the same situation like mine, multiple stubborness.....any suggestions? Thank-you

But it cleared up in less than a week after that. The ped said it wasn't healing because it gets a "head" on it that is blocking the gunk from coming out, so the topical stuff can't get in there to do it's job. Once it was open, the meds worked great.
