stubborn stye

My 15month baby boy has 2 stubbron styes....or is it really a stye. The omthomologist says its a bacteria from the nose to eye story...Both oral and local antibiotic has been applied, it reduced the swelling and prevented new styes from growing. Now both styes sit under either eyelid with a yellowish head (puss) and they just stay there. This is now going on for 5 months and nothing has cured him. I have tried it all, from hot cloths, baby shampoo, antibiotics and now I am on the homeopathic medicine....still no result. I read all mothers queries on the same issue but am yet to come across the same situation like mine, multiple stubborness.....any suggestions? Thank-you

Re: stubborn stye

Purchase some Chamomile Tea boil and then strain if loose tea. Take cotton ball and dip into the tea and lightly rub over the eyes making sure to get some of the tea into the eye. LOL

I know he's only 15 months old and this is difficult, I just went through a severe eye issue with my 6 year old. Had him on all kinds of medicine including antibiotics. My Russian HouseKeeper told me about this and I tried it and it worked! It's great stuff.....

Re: stubborn stye

Drew had one when he was about 4 that just wouldn't go away. The ped finally popped the little sucker so it would drain. I'm sure it hurt like the dickens because Drew was very vocal about it! But it cleared up in less than a week after that. The ped said it wasn't healing because it gets a "head" on it that is blocking the gunk from coming out, so the topical stuff can't get in there to do it's job. Once it was open, the meds worked great.

Re: stubborn stye

Thank-you to all for your replies, I will try the tea and hope it works....if not then the drain story seems to be the only solution, and its this that I have been trying to avoid. Poor thing!!!!
