Obama vs McCain - Page 2

Re: Obama vs McCain

I want neither of them. I am likely going to be voting for the Libertarian candidate at this point. Seriously. Wish someone would actually look at the fairtax stuff as a viable campaign platform.

I agree. That is why I liked Mike Huckabee.

I whole-heartedly agree. For me, it's not about voting for the candidate I think will win - it's about voting my conscience. I just can't bring myself to vote for someone I think is truly bad for the country, and I think the mainstream options (McCain, Obama, OR Hillary) are all bad.

Hence, I'm either voting Libertarian, or writing-in Ron Paul. They won't win, but if enough people voice our true opinion (instead of voting for/against someone strictly because of their party affiliation, or voting for the candidate because we think they can win), maybe we will be heard.

McCain, even though I don't like any of them.

Re: Obama vs McCain

That was very informative. McCain wants to offer a $300 million prize for the development of a new car battery. According to my dh (who knows much more about science than I do) says that the battery is one of the big things holding auto technology. Apparently, the current battery can barely support current technology. With a new battery, most cars could be switched to electric powered or made massively more fuel efficent. Interesting prospect. We'll see how it goes. $300 million is certainlly a nice prize! Especially for some university.

Re: Obama vs McCain

I think they are both good candidates so may the best man win!

And an early greeting to everyone:

Happy Independence Day!
