I'm new to the forum and have a question. My husband and I are meeting with midwifes this week and after my period is over I'm not going to go back on birth control.

My question is how did you feel when you started planning? I don't have any friends who planned first so I can't ask them. I'm feeling terrified of the responsibility and of the huge change that it will create in our lives. Is this normal?

Welcome to Baby University! Yes, I think this is normal. When we started planning and trying, I was excited and scared, too. I think most people who have time to think about getting pregnant and what it means for their lives feel this way.

it is a terrifying thing to start ttcing, such a huge step in life, but as grace said it is also super exciting!

Welcome! I can't say we really planned any of ours either. We talked about it and that's about it.

We did a lot of planning for our TTC, especially since it took almost 4 years, many tests, medications and procedures/surgery. No matter what your TTC journey, when you find out you are pregnant, it's a massive flood of all sorts of emotions. TOTALLY Normal.

Girl what you are feeling is totally normal....and with any pregnancy, planned or not, your feelings are normal!

What you are feelign is normal me and my wife felt like we were on a roller coaster when we were TTC for over 2 years. We had reach a point that our docs basically said it would take a miracle for us to get pregnant Or invetro... Well i believe in miracles cause 3 months later my wife got Pregnant (without invetro)

Niether of mine were planned - both were complete surprises (since I wasn't supposed to be able to have any). But I think that no matter if you plan or not, your feeling are completely normal.
