Brenna's 2 year Check Up

I took Brenna in for her 2 year Check up yesterday. She's measuring in at 24lbs and 32 inches. Still a teeny thing but her height and weight are compareable so I'm not worried in the least. The doctor recommended keeping her on whole milk an additional year because of her size but that didn't make much sense to me. She's not lacking nutritionally nor is she underweight based on her height.
Gracie was sitting alone in one of the chairs in the office when the doctor walked in. Melody, our doctor, was talking to her and asking her questions to get Brenna more comfortable with her. Brenna wasn't really responding at all until she was asked if she likes to play outside. Brenna's response was "I like a move it, move it" in her best Lemur voice. I was cracking up.
She counted to 13 for Melody and showed off her climbing abilities when she scaled the side of the exam table.
The doctor said that overall she seems like a healthy and normal 2 year old.

Cute, happy to hear she's doing well. I'm curious, what is whole milk for another year supposed to stimulate?

Sounds like she's doing GREAT!! Brenna sounds healthy.... I wouldn't keep on with the whole milk either. She just sounds like a peanut and there's nothing wrong with that. If she wasn't getting the necessary nutrients, that would be one thing, but she sounds like a healthy, spunky little peanut. And that's GREAT!

LOL. In our house it's "I like to movie, movie."

She's keeping pace with Noah. Actually, she outweighs him I think.

Yea, Brenna is definitely petite but while she doesn't have any excess baby pudge, she doesn't look skinny either.

They like them to have whole milk becasue of the fat content. Normally, once they turn 2, they suggest giving them 2%. Personally, we only use whole milk in our house. But that's because I can't stand anything else. The kids will drink anything! LOL!

She's two already?!?!

She's 2. She's healthy. She's not over or under weight at all. Give her whatever milk you want.

Wow, she sounds like she is doing really well. Aaron likes that movie too and sings that part. He calls it "The Lion Movie." He also drinks whole milk because when I put him on 2% he actually started losing weight. It tastes sooooo good too!
