I need a good printer and a source for cheap ink

Can anyone recommend a good cheap printer? Just a run-of-the-mill inkjet is fine. We have two laser printers that both have "issues". I don't need anything special, but it would be nice to have something to use to print drafts for odd jobs I'm doing, as well as worksheets and craft things when I start back with the tutoring and childcare.

Oh, and if you know of any place or website that has cheap ink cartridges, I'll be your friend forever! I can't believe what ink cartridges cost!

Yeah, check the price of the ink cartridges before you buy the printer. I had to quit using my last one becasue the cartridges ended up being like $60 each.

I know Brenda. It's awful. We bought a couple of printers on clearance. They had been display models and DH thought he could clean them up and donate them or sell them or something. But the ink cartridges were so expensive that nobody wanted them, even for free.

DH fixed the laser printer Sunday, so I'm happy at the moment.

We were just in that problem, I had an HP and the ink carts. costed around 50.00 a piece. it was months that we went without ink. we ended up getting a Canon printer at Fry's Electronics for half the price and the ink only going to cost about 20-25.00

i tried Walgreens refillable ink... it looked like dirty ink!

The thing that drives me nuts about my Canon printer is that if ONE ink tank goes low, it won't print ANYTHING! GRRRR
