I'm happy that at this stage in my career I often find myself writing articles about energy-efficient ways to use computers, peripherals, gadgets, and consumer electronics. It makes me feel so, you know, virtuous.

Wow! I did use a screen saver for a little while (just because it's cute to have pics of kids scrolling over it) but now my computer just goes in to sleep mode when I'm not on it for a while. I really should turn it off at night eh? I just hate how long it takes to boot back up.

Same here. Rick has so much crap running, that it takes about 10 minutes for everything to boot and finish up before you can even get on. But, if it will save money, I supposed I can do it.
