As the Miss Universe pagent was this weekend, (I think) do you watch the pagents on tv?

Obviously, I don't. Sometimes, I check out who won. Often I don't do that either. Beauty contestants just don't have that much impact on my life. (None that I can think of actually. ) I have other things I'd rather do.

Occasionally I will watch them if nothing else is on. It's rare though. Never really liked them much.

I don't like them. Even though some are trying to say they are "scholarship" pageants, they are still all about beauty. I personally find them degrading to women. And I ESPECIALLY do not like the baby/toddler/child/teen pageants.

No interest. Their priorities are wrong and they are shallow. I'd rather rearrange my sock drawer.

They take a lonnnnnng time and they're kind of boring, imo. That's why I don't get into them much. It's right up there with the national spelling bee and a little under CSPAN for me in entertainment value.

Yea ... while sometimes I might flip back and forth and then watch to see who wins, it's just not very interesting to me. The dull factor is WAY up there. I have no real issues with what pageants are and what they are about though. If you are pretty, poised, and inteligent and want to show it off, good for you.
