Ok..so Steve and I have his brother's granddaughter's 2 year old bday party to attend (her name is Hazyl). There is another little boy there, who we do not know, who is also turning 2. He is Hazyl's mom's friend's son. (are you confused yet?? )
Anywho...Should we buy something for his bday as well even though we don't know him? Or do you think it would be ok for us to just get Hazyl something for her bday?

Never been in this situation and am just looking for some feedback pllllllleeeeease!!!

Re: What would you do?

If it is a "joint" party and the invite said so ("Like join Hazel & bob for their 2nd birthday) then I would. If you were just told that he would be there too then I might not.

But then being the person I am, I would probably bring one or him too.

2yr olds are so easy to please. I would just pick him up a little something to unwrap.

Re: What would you do?

Well, I am on the other side and wouldn't bring the other child anything. We went to a party for my kids' cousin and it was a joint party with a friend of hers that we didn't know. They were both turning 3. They both had mutual friends and then their own family and friends. They received presents from their mutual friends and their own family and friends only. Those of us that didn't know but one child only brought presents for the child we knew. And neither child was the wiser for it as they both got tons.

But if you want to get both kids something, there's nothing wrong with that either.

Me, I would get them something small just cause. But don't feel like you have to.
