High fever and now a rash?

I have idea if the two are related but here's the scoop.

The 5th we were at the IL's Gpa had Broncittis (sp) but didn't know it. Peyton got a fever on Thursday Spiked up to 104 and hoved around 102 for about 8 hours. Came down and he was "somewhat" normal Friday. Friday night (aternoon) it Spiked up to 104 again. Hoved around 102 for a few ours before breaking. Sat no fever but you could tell she just wasn't herself. Sunday fine and dandy played laughed thought it was over.

Today she has a rash all over her yummy and from the top of her butt cheeks up her neck. Now they were at the park yesterday - so I ad Kev look at it and he told me it was mosquito bites. I know it is NOT mosquito bites. She is acting somewhat normal other than just being a bit more sleepy.

Do you think the rash could have anything to do with the fever this past weekend? If she still has it tomorrow I plan on taking her in just wanted to get your opinion first

Re: High fever and now a rash?

Could the rash be a heat rash from the fever and such?

Re: High fever and now a rash?

Yes, rash can be from fever. I would take her in to get checked for strep. I hope she feels better!

just be really careful because if it is viral then it could affect YOU and the pregnancy depending on what kind it is. Definitely call your DR and have him figure out what it is so you can let your OB know!

Re: High fever and now a rash?

Could be Fifth's Disease - Drew had that. High fever, then it was gone. 2 days later had a rash all over his torso. It's not serious (although disease makes it sound worse than it is). Glad to hear the doctor can see you so quickly! Pleas let us know what they say and that Peyton is alright.

Well the verdict is Roseola. (or Sixths disease) At least he's pretty sure. I have to call him back Thursday or Friday to let him know if it disappears or not. If the rash doesn't disappear he siad it could be German Meseals (which he highly doubt since she hasn't been exposed to anyone with it) or Mono. We have to go abck in on Friday and have blood work if the rash doesn't go away.

Sorry I missed this one.... I just got home from work about an hour ago.

I hope she's feeling better and the rash goes away soon.
