OK, because of stupid crap in the past, Brian and I have one eBay account under my name. And one Paypal account also under my name. (Not griping about this; I don't mind.)

Brian bid on a couple things this past weekend and won. I recieved an email today ...

Quote:
Hello there, this is regarding an item you've won. It has been a couple days since the auction ended and I haven't received payment yet. Please respond letting me know what is going on.. If I do not receive a response by Tuesday afternoon (7/15) I will assume you plan on not paying for the item. I just hope this isn't the case.
This auction ended July 11th at 18:30 PDT (which is what? a couple hours behind me in EDT?) I got the email at 5:16pm last night.

He didn't even bill us!

So, I responded ...

I have every intent to pay for this. That is why I bidded on it. However, I would like to have the check clear my bank (probably today) first.

Plus, I'm pretty sure ebay gives me a week before you are allowed to call me a non-payer. Four days, last I looked, is not a week.
Studip people! Bill me before griping after three days!

Don't you love getting the notices from hubby's little shopping trips? I get a amazon purchase confirmation at least once a week. ^_^

I don't mind using my accounts. It's not like they were gifts for me or anything. What really ticks me off, though, is that he spent a good twenty bucks on stuff we don't need and really can't afford right now because I'm not working. Oh, and guess what? That check I wrote him Friday for the pizza he said he would get and then couldn't afford? paid for these two auctions of his.

Re: studip people

Rick is always bidding on stuff we can't afford. He does tell me about them (after the fact), then grumbles when I tell him we can't afford it. Tough! Check the account BEFORE you bid!

From the seller ...

wasn't meant to offend, I've just had a few cases of people forgetting about paying. I just want to make sure I don't have anyone ignoring their bids.
My response in total and complete sincerity ...

Sorry for being snipy. A tree-sized branch fell on our van this past weekend. I'm a bit stressed out right now and I'm sorry for taking it out on you.

Re: studip people

Glad they were nice about it. Most people realize that others sometimes just have a bad day.
