eBay feedback etiquette

I haven't used eBay for years, recently I created a new account to find some items I can't seem to find locally or at an online store. I've purchased two items and paid for them immediately. When I used to use eBay before, the seller would leave a token after you paid because as a buyer your part of the transaction was complete. I'm annoyed because as a new eBay account I have 0 feedback and both of sellers I have purchased from haven't left me a token for completing my end of the transaction. It's been more than a week, I don't think I'm being impatient. I am not going to leave them a token first, that's them camping out to make sure I don't leave them unsatisfactory feedback.

Is this normal now? As a seller do you wait for something (if so what?) to leave a buyer a token if they paid immediately?

Re: eBay feedback etiquette

As a seller I wait for one of two things before I leave feedback.
Communication from the buyer that they recieved their item or feedback from them.

Once I know they have the item and are happy with it then I will happily leave feedback. IF I never hear from them I don't leave feedback.

I haven't received either item. I will let them know when I do though and will see if they leave me a token then.

Re: eBay feedback etiquette

I seriously never had a problem in the 5 years I have been doing business with Ebay...I always leave feedback the day I receive an item
