The working mom

When you are the main caregiver for your child, what are some ways that you destress knowing that little ones can pick up on this type of thing and all? I try not to work too much but with the price of everything going up, it is for sure taking the both of us to bust butts to get the bills paid and still save up for a rainy day. Good de-stressers anyone?

Re: The working mom

I play video games, workout, go for walks or read. I have a couple of really mindless games on my computer (Block Builder and Bubble Shooter) that I zone out for a bit and unwind with when i can't do anything else.

Working out definitely eases built up tension...at least for an hour or two

Re: The working mom

You should make sure that you set aside some time that is just for you and your baby to jump on the bed (in our case) or do something that is just fun for you and the baby.

Sometimes the best destressers is right infront of you ... time for a bubble bath together, bubbes in the yard, playing in the water hose after dinner while watering the flowers.

If you need a destresser away from the baby (As I know we all do sometimes) You might see if you can swap "babysitting" with a freind and agree to watch her baby for a few hours if she agrees to watch yours in return. Then you can just sit and relax in a bubble bath yourself
