Trying to plan ahead

I found a great deal on some toys for Sammy for his birthday. I know, it's 4 months away, but I couldn't pass it up for the price. I got him the Little People zoo train. They have it in the nursery at church, and he loves to watch it. So, I figured by the time he's 1, he'll really be able to play with it and enjoy it. ANYHOW... Because of the animals and everything, I was thinking about doing a zoo/jungle animal theme for his birthday. Has anyone done this or seen anything cute with this theme?

That sounds like a cute party theme. I never did jungle, so I don't have any helpful hints, sorry.

That's a very cute theme!! You could dress Sammy up in khaki clothes like you see wildlife experts wear (Steve Irwin, Jeff Corwin..etc). You can have banana splits (monkeys in the jungle eat bananas), maybe find posters with different zoo/jungle animals on them and hang them up.

Have fun planning it!!

Jungle is VERY big. In fact, that is a big theme at target right now in their baby department. If you went you may be able to find a cute outfit to wear. My SIL just bought a cute one there. She is doing her baby's room in jungle

Re: Trying to plan ahead

I saw the CUTEST jungle fabric in Walmart the other day and all kinds of jungle stuff. I was thinking maybe jungle was better than puppies for the nursery. But... it's already done. LOL! And he loves doggies.

Our dollar tree has some jungle and zoo things, apparently. Someone told me about them. I haven't seen it, so I need to check it out.

Anyhow. I just realized that his birthday this year is actually ON Thanksgiving.
