the parents were unaware they had boarded the aircraft with only four children instead of five until they were informed by cabin staff after 40 minutes in the air.
I can understand loosing track of her. I can't understand not noticing she was gone.

Oh boy....how do you just forget a child? Especially at a crowded place. In those types of places, i have a hold of the kids because I'm terrified that someone will just walk away with them.

OKay...after reading more, I'm wondering what in the world were they thinking? If you do lose a child does it take you 40 minutes to notice she is gone? I mean wouldn't you think they would help her into her seat in the plane or want to sit close to her since she was just little???

My thoughts exactly, Wendy. Five is a lot of kids, but still people with a lot of kids travel all the time and don't loose any - especially one so young. Wouldn't someone be holding her hand? I still hold my dd's hand everywhere we go and she's five.

Unbelievable! How could you possibly not notice one of your kids is missing?
